Floor Install – VII
Continued Floor installation…not rust was from having new floor sit for a month or so prior to install.
Pictures Taken 7/19/2015
Floor Install – V
Passenger Side floor install which was supposed to be easier then the drivers side, but it also had damage I had forgotten about.
Pictures Taken 7/10/2014 & 7/11/2014 (Last)
Floor Install – IV
Drivers Side done…minus some cleanup and the seat bracket install
Pictures Taken 7/5/2014 (First 4) & 7/2/2014 (Remaining)
Floor Install – III
Continued Floor Progress however I don’t think I am going to win any contests for making it look pretty…especially the L bracket near the peddle assemblies (was very hard to get in there to make a better looking weld)
Pictures Taken 6/27/2015 (First 5), and 7/2/2015 (Remaining)
Floor Install – I
Early install pictures of the drivers side frame rails. Note that paint is stripped on both sides of the original rail and covered with a weldable primer. I am a rookie/self taught welder which is evident in the pictures. I did try and clean it up and ended up making it uglier (future pictures), but regardless the floor is not going anywhere.

Bad Block
Continued Pictures of what turned out to be a bad block….there is a crack between two of the water jackets (not pictured)

Engine Tear Down I
This engine was originally going into the 240Z…but it is over a year away before I will even be close to worrying about the engine. So it is going to go into my 280ZX..which will be going from NA to Turbo as the original electronics have been giving me a problems over the last 6 months.
This will be a complete tear down and rebuild…the original owner had some rather interesting methods to “fix” the engine.

240 Floor Prep Continued
Removed bad sections of the floor board…I am going to need to fab up quite a bit it seems.
Pictures Taken 4/8/2-14
240z Floor Prep
Prep work continues on the floor area. You can see my attempt in picture 5 to restore some of the original rail. I am not sure if I am going to cut it out or not, but at least it makes good practice for a rookie welder.
Pictures Taken 4/3/2014 (First 3) & 4/4/2015
240z-Flinstones impersonation
More progress on my car…which is more like the Flintstones then a z now.
